Barksdale- Nueces River Site | home

For those of you coming to the Ledgewater and the new Barksdale (Nueces River site), we will start sign in and payment at 6:30. You can enter the site as soon as you have paid. Saturday you can dig until dark (no lights on the site, morning or night.) Sunday the dig is over at 5 PM. Please have all your artifacts (even the broken ones) photographed and leave the site Sunday by 6 PM. When you find a super artifact we expect you to lock it up in your car but please have it photographed before wrapping it up - that is our agreement, all artifacts are to photographed.

At Ledgewater if you have prepaid, be sure and sign in with the site manager (Ike) at Ledgewater even if you have prepaid.

At the new Barksdale site we (Pat Even and Bob) will meet you at the gate of the new property at 6:30 AM sharp (no need to come earlier unless you want to get in line). We will take payments and sign release of liabilities.

Due to the amount of people paying at the dig please form one line when you get there. We will unlock the gate after the sign in starts.

Please call in for yourself when you sign up. There is $25 fee for signing up & not showing up. For that reason one needs to sign themselves up.

Past Dig Credits are welcome at the new site - The dig credits were sold on a $60 basis, at the Barksdale site, you can still use your credit, you will just owe the $40 difference. Remember you are still getting a free $60 dig.

You can camp at Ledgewater and pay with your digs. The fee is now $10 per person per night, electricity or not.

Backhoe digs at Ledgewater only. Remember, backhoe digs are 8 hours (weather permitting), sometimes we dig more but that is a gift. You are allowed to hand dig when we are not screening.
