About the TAAA

TAAA Information

The Texas Amateur Archeological Association is a group of artifact collectors, hunters and amateur archeologist that want to have a place that they can hunt for artifacts legally,  learn more about what they are finding and/or look at what everyone else is finding.

Membership includes a membership card, invitations to our archeological digs (dig fees extra but you keep the points), an E-mail Electronic TAAA Newsletter that shows the artifacts we find at the digs plus other archeological information.

As a member you will be invited to our digs. If you have a computer with an Internet connection we will send the info via E-mail (TAAA Electronic Newsletter) and there is no need to be on the snail mail list. If you do not have a computer we will send you a quarterly report of the past digs and future dig dates.

On our digs you keep the artifacts, there is an extra fee for the digs - normally $50-$110 a day for hand digs and $100 - $200  if we use the backhoe to dig for you.  

When you join be sure and ask to be put on the electronic newsletter (free with membership) that keeps you up to date with what is happening in the TAAA (photos of our dig finds, dig dates and other interesting archeological articles etc.)  

Artifacts  may be offered for sale. Let us know if you are in the market to buy.

Membership is $40 per year for a single or $50 for a family membership (Husband, wife and children 18 and under living at home).  Two year memberships are $75 for the single and $90 for the family.
