Floresville is located along U.S. Hwy 181, about 30 minutes southeast of San Antonio. There are a number of hotels in Floresville, and the rates are pretty reasonable. Your best bet is the Best Western located right on 181. The number is 830-393-0443 or toll-free a7 800-528-1234. It's about 20 minutes from Floresville to the dig site. Also, there are a number of eating establishments right on 181 close to the motel. A new giant HEB just opened in Floresville close to the Best Western. To get to the dig site from Floresville, Take Hyw 97 N out of Floresville toward Stockdale. At the intersection of Hwy 87 and 97 turn left on Hwy 87. About 5 miles in this direction you will come to the small community of Sutherland Springs. At the only blinking light, turn right on FM 539 and follow the directions to the dig site. The community of LaVernia also offers a variety of eating establishments. LaVernia is about 10 miles past FM 539 on Hwy 87.
