Another Paleo. Basally ground and paralell flaked. I am leaning towards naming this a Mahaffey. If so
it would be a really rare find and is dated between 8000 and 10,500 years old!
Deer antler that appears to have been anciently decorated.
A huge Pedernales base tang knife! Possibly a Garza or a Guerro that has been deep notched.
More likely a Guerro as we have not seen any Garza at this site prior to this find.
The bone object was identified by a paleontologist as a 'crocidile scoot", those hard bump like things on their skin.
I'm not sure why it would not be an alligator scoot as it would seem more likely they would have lived in these
waters about 400+ years ago (that is the date of some of the latest bird points we are finding there.)
Pottery shard.
In the clod! It's always fun to pull a point out of a dirt clod - ANOTHER REASON TO CHECK THOSE
DIRT CLODS BEFORE BRUSHING THEM ON THE GROUND to be lost forever. hint hint
