Sept. 16th & 17th
Ed pulls a stinger out right at the beginning!
Here is an awesome find! A sea shell that had a groove cut into it and had the bottom sawed off. This was
done to accept the string for the necklace.
Turkey wing bone bead!
...and the find of the weekend! The ice knife!
This is fashion similar to a Mescal knife that is found in Old Mexico and the South Texas border area.
Awesome is what it really is. You can only appreciate it if you hold this PAPER THIN piece!
Nice BASE TANG!
This would have been a killer Angostura!
This was a point or knife that was somehow damaged. The maker then sharpened down the broke edge
and kept on using the knife. Look at it as it is flipped over. Put the two together and you have a complete
knife form!
(R) Here is another Paleo. A 10,000 year old Golondrina!
We really wanted this to be a Plainview but there is no grinding on the piece. Possibly a Kinney.
The point on the right is well ground. It is either an Eden or a Firstview (10,000 BP)
For all of you that did not think we had restroom facilities at the dig...
HERE IS THE PROOF!
Henry had the pasture mowed and sure enough, there was our faithful toilet out in the middle.
They could have left a few weeds as a privacy wall, no? HAHA
