Week 6
Bob,
I just wanted to let you know how much Crystal and I enjoyed this past Saturday's dig. We had an awesome time not only finding the artifacts but the enjoying the scenery as well. As I was cleaning my broken pieces yesterday I discovered I had found about an inch of the base from a Plainview. There's probably a complete one hiding somewhere in that hole. Hello Bob,
I am Bob Harper, Ed's brother. I wanted to first
tell you how much I enjoyed the dig at the new mound
last week. I found several items that I'm very proud
of including a 3 1/2 inch drill that has a red tip,
red base, and tan everywhere else and also a Kinney
point. I am working on getting a digital camera so I
can send you the pictures.
I also wanted to let you know that Jerry was
outstanding. Very friendly and he taught me more about
artifacts than I have ever learned and I feel really
lucky to have gotten to talk with him all day.
I've been reading the stuff that Ed forwards me and I
look forward to talking to you. I know that when you
go to Austin to fight for all of our rights to collect
arrowheads that you must get hammered by the
archeologists so I feel honored to be part of your
organization and hope I can be an asset to you.
Thanks and we will see you soon.
